The Fliposcope folks are building a team to explore the educational potential of this fun, artistic medium
Introducing the IPAL Project
The makers of Fliposcope truly love working with teachers and schools—it's where the magic begins!
We would like to build on and share the best parts of the innovative work that is happening in your classroom.
Introducing the IPAL program
IPAL is a simple, common sense, step-by-step teaching process. It is nothing new, but something worth saying.
Inspire - show a student something they haven’t seen or considered before
Plan - A thought process where goals, visualizations and obstacles and sequence are considered
Assemble - The hands-on process of physically executing a plan
Learn - The inevitable outcome after trying to do accomplish something
This program aims to empower STEM education for grades 3 and up by introducing novel multi-step teaching aids (like Fliposcope).
Our goal is to build curricula and project guides to share and gather enough private funding to place Fliposcope in the hands of two-thousand students. If just one district adopts the Fliposcope - IPAL process, not only will there be great educational outcomes (we just know it!) , we will have paid off the investment in this pilot program.
We’re keeping this program simple
There is currently no study taking place (yet) - Research planning will be in the hands of our research partner (current list of research affiliate candidates) .
In general, we’ll work with our Educator team, network around, compare notes, apply lessons learned, refine the project as we go, gather data, and when justifiable, build a larger multi-district/regional program.
From, inspiring students, to awakening their creativity and problem solving skills… even getting minds to work a little more mathematically, we believe there’s something here worth trying.
Let’s develop multi-step learning experiences that
inspire creativity, stimulate learning, and boost student confidence.
Why do this?
As Artists, the Fliposcope team learned that talent alone doesn’t really take very far - you need to work just as hard on your “processes" as you do on techniques. We want to share these precious and fundamental lessons with generations to come.
Each step of the IPAL process provides students with unique learning opportunities, combining tactile and cognitive reinforcement to foster a deeper understanding of STEM concepts.
A multi-step creative process can help teachers discover new ignition points for passion for learning that equips students with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.
Get involved
Any teacher or educational researcher involvement is helpful - including any class results sharing and documentation, curricula, and testimonials. Just sign up and we’ll invite your input and help supply your classes with our materials. Hopefully it saves you or your school money, educates more minds, and spreads the best tech. It’s that simple.
With your support, we can launch the IPAL pilot program and provide students with the tools they need to become capable and confident learners.
